As I mentioned on my previous post, it is essential to frequently leave the hectic London life behind and travel somewhere farfetched. I decided on travelling to Norway to visit my sister and her Norwegian husband. She lives in a small town in the Southern Norway named Tønsberg (actually known as Norway´s oldest town) and we spend the days strolling around the harbour of Tønsberg and talked about love, life and everything in-between. We also visited her parents-in-law an afternoon where they run their own apple farm (very hipster, I know!) around 2 hours drive outside Tønsbergand, I meet and feel in love with their new poppy called Chaos. Even though the weather was not ideal, I must admit it felt amazing getting closer to the nature where the time has little meaning and small trivialities in your life starts to fade away.
I came across the amazing London- based shoe brand called FINSK, found by the Finnish designer Julia Lundsten in 2004. FINSK is known for mixing avant-garde yet modern style inspired by architecture and details found in furnitures. Besides creating stunning shoes, a pair of FINSK are super comfortable. All are Made in Brazil by local craftsmen using traditional shoes making methods and applying highest quality materials as by-products of other industries.
A pair of FINSK shoe is a statement piece, giving your look the little extra it might have been missing.
Since I moved to London, I have started to feel a strong longing for being in the nature. Having some time off from work, my friend Alex and I took a road trip outside London to a place called Oxted. The plan was to have a long and relaxing walk in the forest and as soon as we step into the forest, we where surrounded by a sea of bluebells. It was a magic view! Shortly after the picture above was taken, it started to rain so it turned out to be a short visit. However it felt amazing to leave the big city life behind for a short while and reconnect with mother earth.
I´m so proud to wear this awesome dress and leather coat from my former classmate´s brand, i & KK, a brand that is not only classy but also sustainable. People often assume that environmental friendly, sustainable or  “green” fashion brands are boring and unfashionable, something that in reality is not correct. During the last few years the majority of fashion labels, from luxury brands as Burberry to fast fashion companies as H&M, have focused more and more on becoming more sustainable and gentle to the environmental. I’m delighted to see that the fashion industry is taking environmental issues serious.
All of i & KK´s products are made in Finland and every manufacture process is controlled by Krista to ensure the hight quality of the garments. Recently, you can also customise your products at i & KK, click here for more info.
Finally started to feel better after a major cold (and able to breath again), I have discovered that Spring has sprung in the streets of London. Not only are days actually getting longer (yeah!) with more sunshine (hurray!), the air actually smells sweet, floral and ‘springy’ in general. I also noticed people are more positive and energetic; some have even started to smile at me on the street, (- No, I checked and didn’t have anything weird on my face!).
